Mulled wine

Dec 14. Christmas Traditions in Scandinavia

No Christmas without mulled wine. It may sound weird to foreigners but if you like it, it’s a lovely tradition and one that I’m very fond of. Imagine you’ve been outside playing with the kids, building a snowman or just enjoying the cold weather but now you’re cold to the core and just want something warm. Inside you get a mug filled with piping hot red wine with spices, raisins, almond flakes, a stick of cinnamon and maybe a slice of orange. I guarantee you, you’ll be warm very soon – and maybe a little bit tipsy too. It’s a tradition to drink this in December, but don’t worry, if you don’t like it you can have some nice hot cocoa instead – no problem.

Have a great day..
