Christmas Cards..

Dec 9.Christmas Traditions in Scandinavia

This is a tradition that’s slowly dying. Writing a physical card, putting it in an envelope and sending it to someone. It’s a shame really, it’s nice to get a Christmas card and some think it’s nice to write them too. In them you tell a bit about the big things that has happened in the past year and wish the receiver everything good finishing with a “Merry Christmas and a happy New Year”. Today people write an email and some not even that, maybe just an sms. I think it’s a nice tradition to wish others Merry Christmas and maybe because the last two years have been anything but “normal”, maybe it’s even more important to hold on to at least some traditions to make the best of it and try and make it as “normal” as we can. As long as you don’t go overboard, there’s something soothing in traditions. Like this one.

Have a great day..
